I have successfully been using the ReSpeaker 6-Mic Circular Array Kit with my pi 4b for about a year. I normally use it with a usb powered 3.5mm speaker however I recently picked up this JST connector speaker: 2X Arduino Speaker 3 Watt 8 Ohm Single Cavity Mini Speaker One-to-Two Interface | eBay
With usb speaker I use Audio Playing > aplay > default device and it works as desired but the speakers are bulky and ugly.
With the jst connector speaker, I use Audio Playing > aplay > default:CARD=seeed8micvoicec
The problem is the audio is really intermittent when using the jst speaker, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Whether it works or not seems pretty random.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced issues using these little speakers? They are pretty cheap so it could be I just picked up a couple of duds? Or could it be an issue with the respeaker itself? Or a setting that I need to change as I am moving from usb onboard the pi 4b to the jst connector on the respeaker itself?
