It’s not really new, the repository have 2 years now and Picovoice Wake word is already referenced in the wake word documentation : Wake Word - Rhasspy
I’ve work with it, and it’s work well and it’s very easy to configure
I read

And thought its not or at least it wasn’t and presumed the updates

You are right, I think it wasn’t there, but dunno if it’s not just sales speak too
