German unknown words

Hi all,

we have a french thread i wouldn’t hijack. :slight_smile:

Any germans here who can help me (or others with unknown words) with some of them? Phonemes arent my playground.

  • putzen
  • saubermachen
  • schorsch (German name for Peppa Pigs small brother, my roomba got named from my then 4y/o)

Let’s see here. ‘putzen’ could be broken into two English terms, ‘put’ and ‘zen’ unless the u has an umlaut:
P UH T Z EH N

Similarly, ‘saubermachen’ can be split as sau ber mach en:
S AO B ER M AE K EH N

‘schorsch’ seems a bit more difficult . . . English ‘scorch’ (to burn) is close:
S CH AO R CH

Fortunately after some re-trains, the unknown words seem to be known words now. :slight_smile:

and by the way, many thanks for your effort on the project. it works very well (except the wakeword detection :))

p.s.
currently rhasspy is controlling my lights and the roomba and i’m working on snapcast/mpd integration. if that is done, ill write some howtos.
